Square Enix has announced that the follow-up to the niche fan favourite NieR, has sold over 2 million copies worldwide, and includes digital sales.
The success of Automata has prompted the Japanese publisher to give the series it’s own dedicated studio, Business Division 6. The studio is now hiring to expand it’s repertoire ready for the next title in the now franchise.
In addition, the NieR:Automata / NIER®: Gestalt & Replicant original soundtrack vinyl box set is now available to pre-order for a release this December. The soundtrack will contain tracks selected by series composer Keiichi Okabe as well as exclusive illustrations from Tokyo Ghoul illustrator Sui Ishida.
